Cataract Canyon - no kids!!

We just returned from a great river trip down the Colorado River's Cataract Canyon. Grandparents came into town to keep the kids entertained and we took off for five nights of adventure with a couple friends from Salt Lake, our former neighbor from Bend, and Steve's brother Kevin and a friend from CO. Gorgeous weather and incredible scenery...

Park City Weekend

We had a lovely invitation to stay at a great old miner's cabin up in Park City a few weekends ago - our friends were out of town and offered it to us as a quick get-a-way - only 30 minutes from our own house. It was a lovely weekend - the leaves were just turning, but the weather was still nice and warm in the middle of the day. Kelsey and Steve went for a bike ride, we had a family hike and also made it to the last weekend of the Park Silly Market. We even had the opportunity to ride the city bus with our friend who drove us a couple stops down the road - Kelsey was thrilled and David eventually got over his fear of the unknown transportation device ; )

Have I mentioned before that Kelsey LOVES all bugs? Here she is with a HUGE moth...she was so excited to hold it and then let it go. Another 'friend'! It had the BIGGEST beady eyes...

The State Fair & The Red Iguana

We went to the UT State Fair yesterday afternoon and had a fantastic time. David LOVED all of the animals and Kelsey really enjoyed it too. We focused on the animals this time around and skirted through the 'carnival' piece as quickly as we could...Of course since we were in the neighborhood, we just had to finish at the Red Iguana. Another lovely meal...another really messy floor!
